Recovery Planet (RP) is dedicated to helping husbands, dads, and men in recovery who are passionately committed to recovering their rightful places as heroes and leaders in their homes, workplaces, and communities. I believe that for far too long men have been pummeled with messages bent on confusing them about their roles, purpose, responsibilities, and what it means to be a REAL man. I believe this assault upon men has worked exceptionally well, weakening not only them, but the foundational underpinnings upon which families are built. Consider the explosion of addictions. Look at the meteoric rise in divorce rates. Contemplate the damage done to ever-watchful children. This is why I provide a “Truth Zone” so we can get right to the core of the matter.

Let’s stop fooling ourselves and admit that self-centeredness, neglect, abuse, addiction, separation, and divorce devastate our families, and especially our children. Who do you think tomorrow’s leaders, heroes and parents are but our own little ones who often learn to live life without a father? I believe to be successful, you’ve got to stop isolating and fooling yourself into thinking that you’re a real man and start BEING one.
